"On Your Own, But Not Alone"

Other Housing for People with Independent Living Skills

SOUTH STATE STREET, PLEASANT STREET PROJECT,
SPRUCE STREET, JACKSON STREET
(Click on a name to see a photo of the building)

Fellowship Housing owns or manages several other buildings intended primarily for low-income people with mental illness.  We accept Section 8 certificates in many of these units and the application process is similar to that of our other housing.  As with our HUD projects, tenants may be eligible to receive Outreach Services and are expected to be able to meet the demands of living in the community as indicated in the Section 811 projects section.

The Fellowship Housing projects in this category include:

South State Street – this is an eight unit project with one accessible efficiency apartment and seven one-bedroom units which rent at fair market rents*

Pleasant Street Project – this is a nine unit project with one accessible apartment, six one-bedroom units and two two-bedroom units.

Spruce Street - is a privately owned single-family residence, which presently houses four people.  Fellowship Housing provides management assistance to the owner

Jackson Street - is a three-unit apartment building, which contains two-bedroom units.  There are fewer guidelines for eligibility for this project, in terms of income or disability.

All the units owned or managed by Fellowship Housing are located near shopping, services, and transportation.

*Fair Market Rents are published annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.  They are specific to counties within individual states and serve as a guideline for landlords to establish rental amounts.
