INTRODUCTION:
Fellowship Housing offers a variety of housing choices and support based on each individual's needs.  Our housing offers a foundation upon which an individual can achieve and maintain a level of recovery from psychiatric symptoms in order to live in the community as a citizen, neighbor, friend, and worker.

We pride ourselves on knowing, and caring for, each of our renters.  In doing so we are able to proactively deal with issues as they arise, often averting such drastic measures as eviction proceedings or hospitalization.  Responsiveness and flexibility are two key ingredients in our programs and we have a deep respect for our roles as both landlord and provider.

ELIGIBILITY:
Our programs generally serve adults with very low incomes (as defined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development) who have severe and persistent mental illness (as determined by the New Hampshire Bureau of Behavioral Health).  Referrals usually come through case managers at the mental health center or from New Hampshire Hospital.  People interested in residing in one of our facilities must complete an application and must allow us to screen their income and personal background to insure that public funding is applied correctly.

As all Fellowship Housing programs operate within the community, all residents and tenants are expected to be capable of managing the symptoms of their mental illness so as not to pose harm to themselves or others.  Because our facilities and programs are not medical facilities, people with specific health issues need to be able to access care for themselves.

FEES:
Rents and program fees vary by facility.  Fellowship House, our community residence, charges each resident a monthly fee for room, board and services.  Additional program funding is received via a contract with the mental health center.

Our subsidized housing projects charge rent based upon 30% of a tenant's income.  The renter is responsible for obtaining their own food and household supplies, and also pays for telephone and cable TV.  Fellowship Housing supplies heat, water and electricity and maintains the buildings.

Rents for our unsubsidized housing projects are adjusted as needed.  In addition to standard rent payment options, Fellowship Housing also accepts Housing Choice vouchers where applicable (for more information  please visit Concord Housing Authority and NH Housing).  Tenants in these projects are responsible for obtaining their own food and household supplies.  Utilities are either a part of the rent or are paid separately by the tenant.
